Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS), the market leader in on-board weighing, axle load protection and bin weighing is returning to RWM for the 10th year running after an award-winning year.
The weights and measures approved ENVIROWEIGH bin-weighing system continues to be the market leader and widely adopted amongst prominent waste management companies and authorities across the UK. It works in harmony with the VWS PurGo waste management software and operators such as Grundon are choosing this fully integrated system to provide full monitoring and complete traceability, as well as improve efficiency and customer service.
The new simplified version – PurGo Lite – is proving popular with operators who don’t wish to change their entire processing systems but still need to record and transmit weight data from every lift, automatically to a web portal.
Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, VWS: “The RWM show provides us with an excellent opportunity to rub shoulders with industry counterparts as well as meet existing and potential customers, all under one roof. We’ve had a very busy 12-months and PurGo has really taken off so we are expecting to have a productive time at the show.”
The VOPS™2 (Vehicle Overload Protection System) from VWS was recognised as a ‘vital safety resource’ by the judges of the Van Fleet World Honours this year who presented it with the Innovation in Safety Award. The City Of London Corporation is currently trialling the technology on one of its tipper vehicles with a view to installing it to the entire fleet.
Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, VWS: “We are delighted that VOPS™2 has been recognised for its contribution to vehicle safety. Overloading can have serious consequences and lead to fines, endorsements or even a custodial sentence in the event of an accident. Operators who overload put their O licence at risk.”
